The predominant sentient species occupying Lume are:

• The Folk
• The Slenders
• The Manidae
• The Frost Giants
• The Gardeners

With the following two considered separate species of the Folk:

• The Dunefolk
• The Druids

These cultures have distinct systems of Government, schools of Philosophy, styles of Architecture, among other idiosyncrasies.

There are certainly other sentient species on Lume, though of fewer documented numbers, or of less humanoid sensibilities. See Mythos, Creepers, Cryptids.
